Science: The Importance of "Doing" Hands-On Science

Why is Science So Hard?

In other words, students form a hypothesis based on science learning and perform an experiment to prove or disprove the belief. This is how real scientists work and how children are better able to understand the true science.

When you are considering a homeschool science program, look for a deep understanding of an area of knowledge. It is not important to cram a bunch of scientific "facts" in the mind of a student, what is important is allowing him to explore and have fun with the process of science. Doing science rather than just memorize which results in a true understanding.
